As a reflection of Wallsend Football Club’s growing commitment to the local community through a range of positive ventures, Good Sports, the national program that drives the importance of sporting clubs and the role they play in the community through education and support, has named W.F.C. the NSW Club of the Year for 2011. This is a fine achievement for all those involved with the club, and something that ought to inspire the club to push on with its community links.
